Taken to compare with other paintings and artworks, this work was displayed as if it were to be abandoned and thrown away by the artist. However, it was arranged by Mr. Fang on purpose. I thought the artist wanted to convey a message to society that people should notice everything in our live carefully, not just to keep an eye on those things looking bright, shining and attractive. There is also an idea I got from this work. That is, this work tells us people should care more about minor group in society.

          Whenever I fell down, I like to listen to the music and do tap dancing. Because music can soothe my mind and inspire me by its beautiful rhythm and lyrics. I’m always soaked in music when I get depressed. As for tap dancing, I enjoy the feeling of sweating when I dance. Besides, every step I make will make me feel that I kick out my bad emotion. Hence, I’d like to listen to the music ant do tap dancing to turn my brain’s emotion channel to a happy one.

       Take my friend’s experience for example. My friend, Lisa, is a girl who can’t speak Taiwanese well. One day she was required by her teacher to take a part in a Taiwanese speech contest. At first, she defied this decision of her teacher very much, but her teacher told her that this was a good chance to learn and practice well her mother tongue and talked Lisa into it. Lisa took her teacher’s words with a little reluctance, but she knew that she had to prepare it hard because it was a contest which represented honor of her class. Then she practiced Taiwanese with her parents for three hours after school everyday before the date of contest. During the process, she had borne an idea of giving it up because she felt she could never speak good Taiwanese, not to mention to give a speech. Finally, on the day of speech contest, I heard her name on the winners list. Lisa won first place! When I met Lisa, she told me that she was so lucky because her topic of speech was the one she was familiar with and practiced most. As the result, she could gave a wonderful speech and got good prize. And the only congratulation I gave her is “Diligence is the mother of good luck.”

 「Maria、which traveling resort do you like to go? I think Quebec is a good choice. How do you think about it?」 said the man.

「Hum、it’s a good idea、Bruce. Now I have to prepare something we need、and you go to tell Ivy about this. She will be very excited,」 said Maria.

One the second day、Bruce and Maria took their daughter、Ivy、to the resort at Canada by their own car. They were in a famous skiing field of Canada. There was a big field standing there and lots of people were skiing. Green forests surrounded the whole field. The sunshine, falling down on the snow, warmed people. At the destination、Ivy、a five-year-old and naughty girl ran out from the car and yelled,

」Wow、there is snow falling down in my hands、Daddy! Could I play with snow?」 「You have to wear your snow boots first,」 said Maria with a smile.

Ivy wore her beautiful pink snow boots then Bruce held her hand and walked to the skiing store.

「May I help you?」 said store clerk.

「I want to rent three sleighs、two for adult one for child.」 said Bruce.

The store clerk took three sleighs to him. They were going to begin their trip.

「Can you teach me how to ski、daddy?” said Ivy.

「Of cause, my little angel.」 Bruce held his daughter’s hands and started to ski slowly. Ten minutes later、Ivy could ski easily without her father’s help.

「You did a good job, Ivy.」 said Maria.

Bruce let Ivy ski herself and went to buy coffee with Maria.

At the same time、they heard a big scream and saw many people around got together something.

「A little girl fell down and her head collided with the ground. Much blood flew from her body. Where is her mother and father?” said a stranger.

Bruce and Maria walked out of the store and ran towards the crowd. They saw Ivy lies on snow with blood all over her body. Maria screamed at first and then held her daughter in her arms. Bruce gave a call to the police and asked them for help.

「Don’t worry, my baby. You will be okay,」 said Maria.

        After an ambulance arrived、the doctor took Ivy into the ambulance. Bruce and Maria drove their car and followed the ambulance. When they got to the hospital、doctors took Ivy into an operation room immediately. One hour ago、the doctor told Bruce that his daughter suffered from Leukemia. Leukemia is a serious disease that may cause the sufferer to death. To cure this disease and make the operation go smoothly、it was necessary to perform the operation in a hurry. However、it took a huge amount of money for the operation.

        Bruce drove to the bank and wanted to see how much dollar he has. He pressed down the computer』 button; 102.39 revealed on the screen. Bruce was worried and upset because he didn’t have the ability to let his daughter to do an operation. At the same time、he thought of his best friend Frank、who might help him. Bruce called Frank

「Can you give me a hand?,」

「What happened、Bruce?,” said Frank.

Then Bruce told everything to Frank.

「I feel sorry about it、but I don’t have lots of money. I heard a legend about golden-fur bear. If you hunt the bear、maybe you can sell it in order to get cash、”said Frank.

「That’s a good idea, but can you come with me?,” said Bruce.

         「Sure.」 said Frank with a big smile. 
 Therefore、Bruce told Maria about this, and Maria was very happy because of the hope to save her daughter. To pay for the operation、they decided to go to hunt the golden bear with Frank. Three days later、Bruce、Maria and Frank drove at their destination, the western forest in America.

Entering the forest、they took the tools for hunting and began to find the golden bear with the guidance of Frank、who was a veteran of hunting.

「It’s a little bit of difficult to find the golden bear because it is winter. Golden bears will stay at their cave to hibernation. Only those bears which have a new born baby will go out to search for food to feed babies,」 said Frank.

「Hum….、I think I’ll still try to find it to get its precious fur. It’s the only way for me and Maria to get money quickly,」 said Bruce with a stern look.

「Okay、shall we start our work、Frank? I just want to find the golden bear right now and sell its fur to get money! Don’t waste my time!!! My daughter now is in a dangerous condition、do you know that?! Wawa….Ivy…. why the God gave you such sorrowful present…..Wawa,」 yelled and cried Maria in deep despair.

「Don’t cry、honey. Frank just wanted to tell us what he knows. Let’s go hunt the bear. Don’t cry my honey、let’s go right away,」 said Bruce heartbroken、embracing Maria. He winked at Frank.

「Now、we go this road which is a short cut to the habitats of bears.」 said Frank with courage.

Then they began finding bears with their thick coats、boosts and heavy tools. On the way to bears』 caves、all they can see were dead white scenes. The maple trees were covered with thick snow and without any leaves. The ground was also covered with heavy snow. The only sound they could hear was the sound of owls. It made this hunting journey even more horrible and colder. After a long walk for around eight hours、Maria felt very tired and couldn’t bear this hard walk.

「Could we stop to take a break? My feet ached badly,」 said her.

「 Okay、although there is only about two- hour walk to golden bear’s cave、I think we should camp here tonight to restore our energy. Tomorrow we will go home with golden fur.」 said Frank.

       In the evening、they had a simple meal and made a camp fire to warm up.

「Thanks for your guidance、Frank, my friend. Without you、Maria and I will panic and do nothing for my daughter.」 said Bruce with full thank to Frank.

「That’s my only way to help you、Bruce. It’s no big deal.」 said Frank with a smile. 「Thank you、Frank、and I’m very sorry for my attitude toward you this morning.

I shouldn’t be rude to you just because of my sadness. Please forgive me,」 said Maria with deep apology.

「Never mind、my dear. I know now you’re very worried about your daughter. As a mother、this kind of behavior is normal and common. Now take a sweet sleep for tomorrow’s task, Maria and Bruce,」 said Frank.

But at night、Bruce went out off their camp.

「I just want to get the golden fur right now. It’s the best moment to hunt bears.』』 Bruce told to himself. Bruce walked on the way to bears』 cave. Two hours later、he stood across a big cave. He hid behind a group of rocks to observe whether there was bear living in it or not. For a while、there was a big bear with shining golden fur which lit up the ground in the dark. The golden bear was going around as if it was looking for something. Suddenly、a little cub walked out from the cave, following the bigger one. Bruce was so excited that there were two bears with beautiful valuable fur. He wanted to hunt two of them to get more money than he expected. The two bears were like mother and child. The bigger one hugged her baby and played with it happily. At the sight of it、Bruce thought of his lovely daughter、Ivy、who was very sick and in grave danger. He thought about the happy time when he and Maria took Ivy to go skiing in Canada. He didn’t expect that Ivy would get the serious disease、leukemia. It took away her childhood and hurt Bruce and Maria’s heart. He just took up his gun and aimed at the bigger bear. But when he saw the little bear following its mother cutely and need her care、Bruce hesitated. He really wanted to make his daughter be cured. He expected to see Ivy play and stand healthily before him. The little bear hugged its mother firmly for a long time. The image of sick Ivy appeared in Bruce’s mind.

「Bang-」A sound of gun shot cracked the silent daybreak.

The bears roared. Bruce didn’t aim right at the bigger bear. Now Bruce tried to shot one of them to go back quickly to meet his friend and wife. The bigger bear took her baby running into the farther part of the forest、and Bruce was chasing up after her. They finally ran at the crag. Bruce thought it’s a good time to hunt them. But to his surprise、the mother bear hugged her baby tightly and jumped down over the steep cliff.          

「NO-my golden fur-,」yelled Bruce. 

        With the enormous disappointment、Frank, Bruce and Maria went back home with their tired body. After they drove at the hospital where Ivy stayed for treatment、Maria rushed into the sickroom to see her daughter. Nurses and a doctor were coldly around the sickbed. At the sight of Ivy’s body covered with a white cloth、Maria could not help but cry loudly to the sky.

Dear manager,

    I’m a customer of this restaurant.Initially, I was very glad to have delicious meals here with high expection. Because newspaper said that this restaurant has a good reputation for delicate Greek cuisine, I thought I would have good experience of dining. Actually it’s totally the opposite. I found that the food I ate was not fresh at all. The fish I ate was so disgusting that I couldn’t finish eating it. Moreover, the waiter was not kind to me when I asked him for another clear spoon. He had an arrogant attitude toward me and looked at me as if I had been a trouble maker.I was in no mood to have dessert after finishing the main dish.

    If you want to keep the good fame, I advise you to improve this service and overall quality. You should check the ingredients to know whether they are fresh. The waiters and waitress should be trained stricktly to give the best service to customers. Otherwise, this restaurant might soon close down as a result of bad food and service. Please keep an eye on this problem. I hope you are a person who really cares about the feeling of costumers and quality of eating.

     Suddenly, constant voice of whistle was delivered to Joe’s ears . He turned back to see waht happened, finding a policeman and a group of angry people staring at him. The group of people not only blamed at him, but wanted to have a fight with Joe. Thanks to the policeman’s persuading, the group of people wiped this idea. After a while, the policeman took Joe to the police station and asked him why he did so. “Do you know what you have  done then?! You  have helped a thief to steal things. ”said the policeman. “I ‘m very sorry that I thought the man was moving, so I helped him move the TV set.” said Joe embarrassed.

High school is a wonderful place for you to broaden your horizon of knowledge and gain various experience of activities. If you can make good use of the study time during high school, you may gain lots of valuable things during the three years. If you don’t, you might just get the diploma and learn nothing. If you want to learn well in your high school life, here are some advice for you. They are joining a student club, reading books widely and taking part in  the activities you are interested in.
      Joining a club can help you develop social skills  and how to get along with others. You not only learn what you want to learn, but also develop a great friendship in clubs. That may help you learn how  to teamwork with others in the future. 
      The second one is reading more books, like novels, science fictions, poetry and so on, not textbooks. Because textbooks give you limited knowledge, you have to read more for further aspects. By doing so, you will not only know the background knowledge of the contents talked about in the textbooks, but also have a broad view of things. Reading also improves your attitude toward viewinng things.  By knowing many things from books, you may develop the value you believe in and critical thinking skills. Consequentl, you will have a capability of independent thinking and become a person who never blindly  follows others’ opinions to make a decision. 
     The last advice is joining activities you are interested in. Whether the activities are held in school or not, it is a good way of learning and adding experience to attend to activities. For example, I had joined a contest of English speech when I was in tenth grade. Although I didn’t get any prize from it, I learned how to prepare a speech and try to give a speech before lots of people. The contest experience made me more interested  in English, too.
     Doing your best to try everything in your high school life is the best way to know what you really want in your future, but I have some advice for you to help you learn more in your high school life. Joining the clubs, reading more books except for the textbooks and attending many activities you’re interested in are ways to make your high school life colorful.

When a group of people need to accomplish a work、there must be a leader to lead them. A leader in my opinion should be reasonable、brave and humble. With these three characters、a leader will be good and suitable for a group and lead them well.

       A leader should be reasonable so that he will see things reasonably and make decisions for his group clearly. Because people working in a group might be emotional when discussing with others to reach an agreement、the leader must help to reconcile the conflict and difference. Then the leader must be reasonable to cope with the argument of his followers so that less accidents will happen. For example、M.K. Gandi、who was the leader of India’s 「non-violent resistance」、told his followers not to use violent and unreasonable ways、such as armed demonstration, to protest against the government of United Kingdom. He knew that the raging ways might just cause many blood accidents and didn’t express the thought they wanted to tell the authority clearly、so he held the peaceful method to present their anger about their colonizer. What M.K. Gandi had done showed that he was a reasonable person who could think about a solution to a problem reasonably. That’s why he was a good leader in the 「non-violent resistance」.

     Only a brave man could lead people when they meet a challenge. Because it is difficult for ordinary men to face a big problem、and even to deal with it、a brave leader can inspire his group by taking his first action. Sun Yat-Sen、the founding father of the nation、was a brave man to overthrow the empire of Qing Dynasty. Even though he had failed in revolution to build a democratic nation for eleven times、he still adopted perseverance and a brave attitude toward the next challenge he would meet. He had overcome lots of adversities during the revolution bravely. Most of his comrades died in the revolution、but Mr. Sun still insisted his ideal to carry on his revolution bravely and never was cowardly to face his challenge.  

     Being humble is a good trait to be a good leader. A leader who is humble will be likely to accept other’s advice well because he knows that he still has lots of thing to learn and needs to know other’s thought to improve his action. For example、Tang Tai Chung、the emperor of Tang Dynasty in ancient China、always took his official、Wei Cheng’s advice to improve or correct his rule and way to lead his country. His humility made him be loved by his people and they liked to be led by him. As the result、The 「Jan Guan Rule」,which is a good and peaceful condition of a society、of the initial Tang Dynasty was made.  

     The key to the success of a group is an outstanding leader in it. If a group wants that they can work well、their leader should be reasonable、brave and humble. Due to these three traits、a leader will manage his group reasonably、not emotionally. He will make his followers face problems bravely and tend to accept their advice by his humility.  

      I was impressed with the content of Wilbur and Charlotte’s friendship. It makes me experience the strength and precious side of relationship, which can help us go through every adversity. I tried to look back on my friendship and see how I treated my friends after seeing “Charlotte’s Web”. I wanted to understand if I really treasured my friendship in the past. It was also the thing I needed to introspect that what I had done to my friends was from my heart every time.

      “Charlotte’s Web” really taught me a lesson and was an impressive movie worth seeing.

       How have you been? I have made a plan for my winter vacation. I wanted t o make good use of this vacation to enrich my reading and join university camps to know my interested university departments. I also had recreations to make my vacation colorful. A few days ago, my junior high friends and I went to the National Palace Museum to visit an exhibition of the antiques kept and preserved in Britain Museum. It was a really amazing exhibition that made me have strong interest in antiques. I thought it was such a great exhibition which could expand your horizon and you must pay a visit.

       After talking about these things, I want to ask you for help. I have fallen to the depths of despair recently because of the quarrel of my parents. They have fought over daily little things these days. Whatever I’ve done for stopping their stupid wrangles didn’t work! I have done my best to be their peacemaker during their fight, but they just still blamed each other as if I were not there. What can I do to end this terrible situation I’ve been in for two weeks? Have you ever met such thing in your family? Hope you can give me some advice for solving this problem. I can’t bear it anymore!!
